RAGER - Wade E.,80, of Ebensburg, passed away Tuesday March 5, 2024 at home.  Born February 12, 1944 in Johnstown, son of the late Wilbur and Ethel (Roles) Rager.  Last surviving member of his immediate family, he is preceded in death by his brother Lloyd Rager.  Survived by wife, the former  Kathryn (Thomas) Rager, and children:  Wilbur Rager; Karen (Robert) Wertz; Christopher (Marquita) Rager;  5 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.  Also survived by sister-in-law Virginia Rager.  Wade was a retired heavy machinery mechanic and had served many years working with Merlo Trucking.  He was also a certified state auto/truck inspector.  An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the Ebensburg Post 4963 VFW.  Wade enjoyed being close to nature, fishing, gardening, and camping with family, the joys of his retirement.  Friends will gather from 10:00 a.m., until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9th, at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Wade's memory may be made to the Ebensburg Area Ambulance Association.
